LAVA

The red-orange Lava vases are an extension of the approach to colour and dimension that the artist has taken with the Keto series. They are a combination of two layers of glass and copper wire, where the flow of enamel through the modelled copper wire gives the shape of the vase a dynamic appearance. Thematically, this series is again based on the eventuality of extinction caused by a natural disaster. The appearance of the vases is inspired by the natural process of a volcanic eruption and also refers, among other things, to the folly of the inhabitants of the city of Pompeii, which its inhabitants proudly built near a volcano.
