EREBO

The art installation EREBO is based on the phenomenon of the decline of diversity in the biosphere, i.e. the extinction of of species and the extinction of entire ecosystems. The issue is captured through the language of geology, specifically through the gradual settling of generations of calcified animal shells. These sediments are porcelain pedestals referring to the past and extinction. In contrast,the anchored glass objects on the surface symbolize life and the present. EREBO describes the natural cycle of life and reveals our apparent immortality.
