DYSPLASIO

DYSPLASIO is the name of a series of objects and vases, presented in 2024. It refers to Anna Jožová's most current focus, namely the theme of growth deviations and sudden changes in development. Again, the focus is on a process that is perceived as negative from most angles. However, the author views these deviations as natural and necessary anomalies for the harmony of the ecosystem. The shape of the exhibited objects is inspired by the host-parasite relationship, and their surface is always treated in at least two ways, with one being more dominant. Reliefs with impressions of marine organisms are juxtaposed with smooth glass surfaces. Tall vases give the impression that non-native organic or inorganic forms are embedded in the body of the host. In the case of the light objects, too, the relationship between the two organisms is thematised.

Their pedestals use the morphology of abstracted shells or shells of marine animals and natural objects, and the luminous red object, which, following on from the previous series, is again in the role of a symbol of a new beginning, sends a message with its light that nature is transforming again and life is beginning in a new form.
